My name is Griselda, and I feel truly grateful to be part of the Hope Bridge Home Health team. One of the things I value most about my work is having the opportunity to witness the meaningful difference we make in the lives of our clients and their families. Working in home health has given me a deeper understanding of the aging process and the unique challenges that can accompany it. It has also strengthened my appreciation for our older adult community and the dignity, compassion, and support they deserve.

Outside of work, I enjoy discovering new experiences and finding inspiration in the world around me. You can often find me exploring local coffee shops, trying different cultural foods, discovering new artwork, or enjoying music. I especially love trying new coffee drinks and collecting unique coffee cups along the way. I’ve also developed a newfound appreciation for taking short road trips and discovering new places. Most of all, I enjoy meeting new people, listening to their stories, and learning about the experiences and passions that inspire them.

One of my personal goals at Hope Bridge Home Health is to help individuals and families become more open to considering in-home care as part of their long-term care journey. In my culture, it is common for family members to immediately take on the responsibility of caring for an aging loved one when they are no longer able to care for themselves independently. While this often comes from a place of love and devotion, caregiving can also become physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding for families.

I believe that accepting support through professional in-home care can help families maintain what matters most—their relationships. When a caregiver is there to provide the necessary assistance, family members have the opportunity to focus less on the responsibilities of caregiving and more on simply being present as spouses, children, grandchildren, and loved ones.

One of the most valuable lessons I have gained through my experience at Hope Bridge Home Health is the importance of planning for the future. Preparing financially and having a thoughtful plan in place for our later years can make a significant difference when the time comes that we may need additional support. Although we cannot predict exactly what the future will look like, preparing ahead of time can help us approach aging with greater confidence, dignity, and peace of mind.

I am proud to be part of an organization that not only provides care but also helps individuals and families navigate the aging journey with compassion, respect, and understanding.
